Iggy Azalea isn’t really mad at Raiders reporter who dissed her: ‘Please relax’

During the team’s off-season training program, a Raiders reporter approached rapper Iggy Azalea — who was wearing a hat in a dark shade and sunglasses, and holding a microphone — with the following question: “You are one hell of a looker, Iggy, is it just me or is it a little too much?”

Azalea, who has become known for wearing a hat and sunglasses in interviews about her fashion sense, said she found the question “slightly bizarre.”

“And I was like, ‘What’s strange about that?’ And she goes, ‘Well, you need to please relax, and we have all the time in the world,'” Azalea told ESPN.com’s Michele Tafoya and The Associated Press on Friday in a phone interview. “So I said, ‘Look, I really enjoyed talking to you and I really don’t care what happened.'”

Azalea went on to explain her comments with the reporter in the third person, saying, “I’m going to say so-and-so (reporter) was like, ‘You need to relax.'”

She then said, “And I’m like, ‘I never said I needed to.'”

“I just said, ‘You need to please relax,'” Azalea said.

Azalea, who is known for her outspoken fashion statements, said that she didn’t realize “so much” of what had happened between her and the reporter until the end of Wednesday’s practice, when the Raiders returned to the field after training camp.
