Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle to tour the U.K.

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle join forces for California comedy tour

A couple of famous comedians will join forces for a California tour later this year.

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle will hit the road this fall for a 12-city comedy tour, sponsored by JWT.

Rock and Chappelle have worked together both live and on screen, including in the film Chappelle’s Show and in Parks and Recreation.

Tickets will go on sale Friday for the tour, Rock’s first since an extensive battle with pancreatic cancer.

Chappelle recently came out publicly as gay. He has said he believes his sexuality has played a role in his battle with cancer.

Rock, who has been recovering from surgery to remove a benign tumor, also has a history of health issues. He underwent heart bypass surgery in 2003. His family reports that he was having chest pains and went to get a treadmill test, a test that showed a heart attack.

Rock is currently touring the U.K. with a tour that kicks off Aug. 18 in Birmingham, England and ends Sept. 10 in London.

The tour is scheduled to take him through Sept. 15 in cities including Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Philadelphia, San Diego, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Victoria, Canada.

A performance at the Fox theater in Oakland on July 30 will kick off the tour. Tickets are on sale.
