Bluecoats vs. Unionville: First of a number of “Winter Welcome Weekend” activities

Toronto relaxes COVID-19 rink rules as winter activities move ‘toward normal’

This week, the Bluecoats will be participating in the first of a number of “Winter Welcome Weekend” activities, which run through Saturday.

The activities are designed to help with the transition from the traditional rink-to-door experience to indoor activities.

“The Bluecoats will be participating in a wide variety of activities and activities,” said Bluecoats President and Coach Greg Johnson. “They will be at a variety of events including the first Annual Winter Welcome Weekend, and we hope everyone will join us for these activities so they are able to enjoy themselves now.”

The weekend activities, which are still being finalized, are listed below.

Hockey

Saturday, January 17

– 4 p.m. – Bluecoats vs. Unionville: Pregame and Postgame

The Bluecoats and Unionville will host four games of ice hockey on Saturday at the Bluecoats Ice Arena, as well as a postgame at the Rink at Unionville.

The games are a part of the Winter Welcome Weekend program which is designed to help hockey enthusiasts make the transition from outdoor rink to indoor activities.

The Bluecoats vs. Unionville game will kick off the weekend with a pregame at 4 p.m. Players are encouraged to wear their winter gear and join the Bluecoats and Unionville community on Saturday at their rink for the postgame at 5 p.m.

The four games played on the ice rink Saturday are as follows:

Game #1: at 11:30 a.m. vs. Unionville

Game #2: at 1:30 p.m. vs. Windham

Game #3: at 1:30 p.m. vs. Central Falls

Game #4: at 1:30 p.m. vs. New Gloucester

A postgame at 5 p.m. will be held at the Rink at Unionville, with an encore game at 8 p.m.

The cost for the weekend is $16 for the Bluecoats season ticket members, $14
