(CNN) – With her Twitter feed, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is perhaps the most influentially powerful political figure in the world, but she’s far from the only one.
What does it take to earn the title “Persuader”? The word and its variations are a key way for political observers to describe the various ways a politician or public figure can be perceived by voters. Persuader is the most popular of the variations of “persuader.”
In Ocasio-Cortez’s case, she’s achieved a new status as a leader who has achieved her goal of changing American politics through grassroots politics. That’s a difficult feat, especially for someone like Ocasio-Cortez, who only recently won her congressional primary race against an entrenched Democratic incumbent, Joe Crowley. But Ocasio-Cortez is also a new face on the political scene, who is likely to emerge as a powerful voice for progressive politics.
