Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum are both expected to come out swinging against the allegations against U.S. Senator-elect Marco Rubio in Florida.

Florida’s Democratic Party chairman, Chris Smith, is also expected to issue a statement attacking Rubio and backing U.S. attorney-general candidate Angela Corey in her probe of the state’s probe of his alleged child abuse.

“As a father of two daughters, Marco Rubio’s decision to join the child-sex trafficking ring being run by Senator-elect Marco Rubio should be an eye-opener for parents everywhere,” Smith said in the statement.

“We hope that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement will put an end to the child exploitation of Senator-elect Rubio because, as a father of two daughters myself, I will not let a man who has used children for political gain get away with it.”

The Democratic Party’s Smith came out swinging a day after U.S. attorney-general candidate Angela Corey released a letter detailing her findings on investigations of Senator-Elect Rubio and his father, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

In fact, the evidence of a sex trafficking ring involving Florida politicians and others was first made public by President Bush in a statement issued several months ago, and we should not stop now.”

However, Smith’s attack on Rubio comes after the senator-elect’s father called on him to step down ahead of the December 12 deadline to secure his seat in the Senate.

“As a father of two daughters, Marco Rubio’s decision to join the child sex trafficking ring being run by Senator-elect Rubio should be an eye-opener for parents everywhere,” Smith said in
