Yeezy shoe collectors are ‘panic selling’ following Kanye West’s antisemitic rants
They may be considered a fashion choice, but if your collection is a little thin on shoes, here’s another reason to buy more pairs: they’re cheap.
So when, following Kanye West’s controversial views on Jews, his fans have suddenly started to panic-sell his shoes, we thought we’d take a look at the story.
For years, Kanye West has been an outspoken anti-Semite and racism critic.
The rapper sparked controversy in June when he called the Temple Mount, the site of Israel’s holy sites, “a war zone.”
He has since apologised for his comments but his fans have not.
So what has happened to his shoes?
Twitter user @LuxuryLadyOscar has tweeted about panic selling the star’s black Nike Air Jordans, saying: “Gotta do what ya gotta do…I’m gonna just buy as many as I can and get out of here lol!”

Another Twitter user, @cassiethejew, shared one photo of a group of people holding an auction for a pair of shoes in West’s signature colours.
“There are thousands of pairs of shoes and I don’t know why the fuck they are even in the auction,” she added.
“Some people have so much power to get shoes and no one is able to resist them even when there is nothing else.”
